Some studies of face perception use scrambled faces as control images. Select the squares that you want to be scrambled by clicking or dragging across the image. Hold the command key to select multiple squares or areas.
A free professional version of this scrambling software is available for educators and researchers at webmorph.org (demo accounts with full functions are available to all) and the scrambling code is available on GitHub. This method was first used in Conway et al. (2008, JoV).
